Artist's Ball 20 September 2008

This large painting by Rodney Pople entitled "Scuola Grande, Venice" 2007 has provided the theme for the first Artist's Ball to be held in Orange Regional Gallery.

As with the famous Sydney Artist Ball's at the Trocadero and then the Paddington Town Hall, we hope this will be an extravagant and somewhat decadent affair.

The Decorations for the Ball have been designed and made by members of the Canowindra Artist's Network and the Rogue Sculptors, using the fabulous hues of the Pople painting.  No less than seven video projectors will provide shifting opalescent images on the walls and hanging swathes of silk, and the Venetian theme extends to the wearing of masks.

Food is by Josie Chapman and  Art Direction is by Gabriella Hegyes. Music by the Cotton Club. Ring the gallery on 63938136 to reserve tickets at $60 each.
